CETA offers cross phase CPD and leadership training which is collaboratively planned and delivered by partner schools. Through this model our CPD is developed by teachers for teachers.
Our AML, Aspirant Middle Leaders, programme is designed to help participants develop skills for successful middle leadership within both secondary and primary education.
As a middle leader your role is essential for improving the quality of teaching and learning in your school – our AML programme will help you develop the confidence, knowledge and skills for managing and leading a high performing team in your school and to improve classroom practice.
The course is suitable for participants across primary and secondary phases where you either wish to develop or take on leadership roles. In primary the focus will be upon leading the curriculum areas of Mathematics and English.
Our next Aspirant Middle Leaders programme starts September 2017, and the course is delivered over the academic year through a variety of afternoon and twilight sessions, completing in June 2018. Individual projects using professional enquiry are an integral part of the course and will result in a presentation at an Ideas Fair.
On completion of the course you will be awarded a certificate from the University of Bristol.

Here at CETA we offer Initial Teacher Training. To become a qualified teacher in state maintained schools across England and Wales you need to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This is gained through training known as Initial Teacher Training (ITT).
CETA can support other schools by drawing on skilled and qualified leaders, teachers and school practitioners from our partner schools.
